Original Garden of Bilal: Reviews & Ratings
I went here for an Ubereats pick up. It was running a little bit late, but to compensate for that, the owner gifted me with a dinner platter for myself. The Mac and cheese was delicious and the potato salad was also amazing. They are kind and generous people & run a good business!
Their fish hoagie and special sweet tea were delicious. I got that for dinner 2 days in a row. Staff was pleasant. I am not sure if the offer dine in because Iordered mine to go. Door dash does go there.
I was gifted a platter and it honestly was best soul food I've had in a long time. I most definitely would recommend eating here and will definitely be going back
The fish hoagie was delicious. The fish was on point. The gentleman that took my order over the phone and gave me the food was courteous.
It remind me of the days when the restaurant was in uptown brought tears to my eyes, fish hoagie still on point didn't fall off, mac and cheese still on point, candy yams are still on point, Akbar juice is still slamming. try their desserts don't take my word for it I grab my favorite bean pie. it may not be the same location but the food is still on point that's all that matters welcome back. P.S fish fried rice you're next. great people great food ! ! !
Plan to take-out. Bro Nafis is a wonderful host. Expect a great conversation. The wait time was on-par with receiving freshly prepared dishes!
I am so glad to see the originators of the ultimate 'Fish Hoagie' and the fantastic 'fish fried rice platter' back at it. Today I had a really good Fish Hoagie, and my folks had a fish platter with two sides (potato salad and greens). We also ordered a side of candied yams. Everyone loved their food as usual.
Got the infamous fish fried rice, AMAZING, FRESH and just good as before. We had the Mac n cheese, wasn’t bad just seemed like the end of the pan so it was a little dry and could use more cheese. The tuna Mac salad was good, a little wet for my taste but overall the flavor was good. For desert we had the apple bean pie, and sweet potato cheesecake. I don’t eat bean pie but my folks loved it and the cheesecake was delicious. The best part of it all was the customer service. Very friendly, professional and welcoming. I’m def going back for the Fish Hoagie next!!
